Meredith and Gideon found me online and fell in love with my work. They asked me to come over and shoot their wedding at Meredith's hometown Lock Haven, PA (USA).
It was my first wedding in the USA and after I flew to New York and drove for a couple of hours, I met up with Meredith, Gideon and their beautiful family and friends. I became one of them that weekend. Staying at their house, sleeping in their beds, swinging in their garden, eating strawberry shortcakes for the first time in my life at their porch, playing games in their living room and walking barefoot for days.
We went canoeing the morning of their wedding day, made flower crowns from scratch, had a ceremony on top of a hill that afternoon, a shoot in the middle of a lovely river and settled with good music and an intimate first dance with just the two of them in the middle of the forest. They left that evening for their honeymoon and it felt like good friends leaving me. I felt sad and so grateful at the same time.
I'm happy for this wedding, for this family, for this real feelings and emotions I got to experience and there is no doubt in my mind: i will see these two again in the future and visit them in their yurt in New york and eat amazing meals from their garden and talk about how amazing this wedding weekend was. Love you but miss you lots Meredith & Gideon.
