…

what can I tell you.

It has been busy. My thesis is finally finished and that’s a relief. Although … when I finally got my 6 prints, I noticed there was still a huge error. I decided to let things be…

The last two days were fine. I worked on my books & watched some movies/ series. Monday I watched Fanboys together with Jan (the biggest fan of Kristen Bell * understandable). The film was not that good but I am sure that Jan was happy to admire the back of Kristen. Haha. This morning I got up (yes you read it correctly) so I could watch Gossip Girl. (how the hell I’m going to survive till autumn :'(). * searches desperately for something to fill-in the gaps! *

Tonight Jan is coming over and tomorrow it’s my birthday. Unfortunately I must go to the hospital. Yes! On my birthday! Anyway Jan will be with me the whole day so that’s a good thing! πŸ™‚

This weekend I went to Germany … a weekend with friends. Lies, my best friend, is on Erasmus in Karlsruhe and we went to visit her. It was fine but I was also glad to be back. (although I would have loved to take lies with me!):)

Hmmm. I gotta go. It feels like half the world is in stress for exams, papers and work. Thumbs up for you (and me) πŸ™‚

Love,
Melissa

Paper Heart

a new movie I would love to watch.
(august 09)

with Charlyne Yi & Michael CΓ©ra.
Hmm. How do I love his style and I like about every movie he plays in. *drools* Charlyne Yi wrote, produced and even composed the music for this movie. Paper Heart is one of the most talked about films going into Sundance 2009. Charlyne Yi and her real-life boyfriend Michael Cera were able to make the film completely under the radar. For all the fans of Lars and the real girl, Juno and Nick and Norah’s Infinite playlist. Can’t wait to check this one!

Thesis

Hi everyone,

How are you doing? πŸ™‚ I’ve missed my blog. For the past few weeks I’ve been working my ass off just to write a good thesis. But it’s finally coming to an end. I only have to write a few pages and make a good lay-out and I’m finished (finally). I did my best and I think it’s a good writing. Maybe I’ll post a rapidshare link later for all the ones who like to read about the origin of fairy tales and the evolution of the fairy tales illustrations. It was fun to do but also a lot of work. I don’t think I’ll miss it πŸ˜‰ I really enjoyed the times off: go shopping, groezrock, going out with friends and my visits at Jan’s place. I really need some time off sometimes. It makes me feel alive πŸ˜‰

So how are you all doin’? I’ve missed hearing from everyone so please tell me what happend in your lifes.

Not much to say (my life is boring these days anyway ;)),

Melissa

Weekends

Hmm. I enjoyed the weekend πŸ™‚
I really needed some time off. Friday and Saturday I went to Groezrock. It was nice to do something outside because I’ve been working for school the whole week and it was getting really stressy. It feels better.

I’ve got no pictures from Groez but here are the bands I wanted to see (and I did, we only skipped Campus (because we had to wait 1,5 hours to get in there!!!! wtf!!! and the last bands from Saturday because we were tired and wanted to go to a party from a friend, which was nice to do. dancing!!! (oh I’ve missed it so much))

Today I visited the grandparents from my boyfriend and my own grandparents and we talked about how they grow up and about their own parents. With these stories I want to make a book. I think it’s really nice to hear them talk. It comforts me. Will I have grandchildren one day myself? Will they be as excited as me about their past? Hmm. It feels good to look at these pictures.

I’ll post some here if I find the time to scan.

Love and yours,
Melissa
