WEEK 22 + 23


WEEK 22

* goes back in time, a year earlier *

“Nu ben je toch echt wel mager hoor…” De opmerking na 15kg gewichtsverlies blijkbaar. Vele weten niet dat het gewichtsverlies niet intentioneel gekomen is maar wel door een zware PI-IBS die ik opliep na een zware darmontsteking en die me op enkele maanden tijd enorm doet afvallen. Enkele maanden in de zwangerschap zelf is de enige opmerking die ik krijg “Amai, en dat is er maar eentje” of ook nog wel “Ge zijt toch echt al wel dik hé”. Ik kom tot de conclusie dat het ook nooit goed is. Gelukkig ben ik super trots op mijn buikje en vind ik mezelf erg mooi zwanger. Ik laat de mensen maar en geniet intussen verder van elke kg liefde die er extra aan mij groeit.

Ps. Ik eet om het te vieren zelfs enkele smoutebollen extra vanavond op Blauberg Kermis!

Pss. Er is een hittegolf in België (het is al sinds 1800-weet-ik-veel niet meer zo warm geweest) en dat voelen we. Slapeloze nachten (wakker zijn om half 5 is ons nieuwe favoriete ding), opgezwollen benen en voeten en ohja ook voordelen natuurlijk: shoppen voor de eerste echte babykledij in Wijnegem met papa die nu niet liever deed (ahja… solden en airco hé ;-))

WEEK 23

Liefste jongen,

Heb je ons gevoeld deze week? We zijn onze eerste les Haptonomie gaan volgen bij Jo in het GIC. Hij zal mij en papa de komende weken leren hoe we nu al in de buik contact met je kunnen maken en hoe we als ‘team’ de bevalling kunnen opvangen. De eerste les was super leuk en ook een beetje ‘awkward’ want tot onze grote verbazing was het niet ik maar papa die op de massagetafel moest gaan liggen – zo kon papa beter inbeelden hoe het voor mij zou voelen. Ik vond het geweldig en heb wat afgelachen. Na papa was ik aan de beurt en hebben we via onze handen leren voelen hoe jij in mijn buik rondzweeft en hoe we contact met je konden maken. We hopen dat ook jij geniet van deze momenten want wij vonden het helemaal te gek!

Ps. Behalve genieten toch ook PANIEK (en onhandigheid) deze week. Eerst mijn handen verbrand met kokend water, dan een tekenbeet (ieuw, als er iets is waar ik niet tuk op ben dan is het dat wel) en om af te sluiten de eerste druppels colostrum zien verschijnen uit mijn tepels – ahum. Choquerende tijden dus voor een nieuwe mama-to-be 😉

WEEK 15 + WEEK 16


Liefste baby,

Deze week heeft mama je voor de eerste keer gevoeld. We zijn voor een huwelijk in het zonnige Spanje en bij het klaarmaken van de bruid zei mama dat ze je kon voelen. Ze stond met haar buik tegen een muurtje aan en fluisterde: “Vlindertjes flapperen in m’n buik, ik denk dat het de baby is”. Het was een hele belevenis voor haar en het maakt de komst van jou toch wat echter want we hebben je nog maar 1 keertje kunnen zien op de echo (en dat was heel erg kort). Ik kan je nog niet voelen maar daar komt binnenkort hopelijk verandering in. We hebben deze foto trouwens genomen in een hotel in Malaga, de dag na onze aankomst voor het huwelijk. Wat heb je al met ons mogen reizen!

Vlak voor ons vertrek heeft je overgrootmoeder (de “moe”) je je eerste knuffel gegeven. Ze is heel fier en gelukkig dat ze een achterkleinkind krijgt. We wonen momenteel nog in een klein appartementje boven de moe en de va. Zo leven ze ook van dichtbij mee met ons naar je komst.

Monday Movie Time: Life unexpected



Today is monday, so it’s movie time! I’m not going to take a movie today but a new series I discovered thanks to my friend yasmin. ‘life unexpected’ is a series about a young teenager, Lux, who has spent her life going from foster family to foster family. She has finally decided to become an emancipated minor. During her journey through the legal maze, Lux finds her biological father, 30-something Nate “Baze” Bazile, who lives above a bar and is astonished to learn he has a daughter. Lux learns that her mother is Cate Cassidy, a star on local radio, along with her boyfriend, Ryan Thomas. A judge decides to grant temporary custody of Lux to Baze and Cate instead of emancipating her.

This series is really a good one if you like tv series like gossip girl, veronica mars, privileged, gilmore girls and other movies or series about teenage shit 😉 It’s not really something you should watch if you don’t like talking 🙂 because it’s almost everything this series is 😉 it’s the typical girly ‘let’s not stop talking’ series.

I’m going to watch my 5th episode today. Here’s a trailer for all the ones who wants to take a look.

Prison Break / Benjamin Button



Yesterday I went to the movies and I saw “The curious case of Benjamin Button”. The movie was a.o.k but a little bit too long I think. It was heartbreaking at the end 😉

Now for all the ones who followed Prison break, the scofield-burrows brotherly love is coming to an end. The series wil end forever this spring (April 17th). I think it’s the right thing to do… 🙂

So to all of you: have a great day (my whispers from yesterday came true: the sun was great today!)

NO Gossip Girl , ONLY veronica



No new Gossip Girl episodes for a month! That’s awful long! The new episode will air March 16th (the day I come back from New York). And there will be a Spin-off called Valley Girl. (more on tv.com)

BUT…

After all it’s not only bad news because I was reading the tv.com news and guess what?
There’s a big possibility Veronica Mars is going to bright up your screens again ^^
Rob Thomas is writing a script for a final Veronica Mars movie. Great huh?!

HMMM. I still love V! Still my favorite series all time! 🙂
